While car crashes are declining nation-wide, in Virginia, a cash still occurs every 4.5 minutes resulting in more than two lives being lost and 173
injuries every day. These numbers seem to get worst during the winter, now that the temperature has dropped below freezing with ice on the roads.
"The best way to protect yourself is to buckle up and avoid distractions. The loss of life on our highways is unfortunate and needless." -- Col. W. Steven Flaherty, head of the Virginia State Police
