Most people do not realize the implications of the Tax Relief Act of 2001 and estate taxes. Come January 1, 2011, estates could be subject to
estate taxes if they do not plan properly. Unless Congress acts before then, as of January 1, 2001, estates valued greater than one million dollars could be subject to federal estate taxes.
