Legal Tip: Consequences of a Separation Agreement (Family Law)

Generally speaking, in Virginia, typically, the consequences of a separation agreement are permanent.  They do not last only for the period of separation.  Speak with a lawyer before signing any written document with your spouse.

As usual, every situation has exceptions.  Consult with a Charlottesville lawyer to get the full details.
