Legal Tip: Appealing Your Traffic Case (Traffic)

The Right of Appeal: Generally speaking, in Virginia you have the right to appeal your traffic case, if it is a misdemeanor, to the Circuit Court after it has been adjudicated in the General District Court. This is an automatic right and your request for an appeal will always be granted provided that you have notified in writing the General District Court of your desire to appeal the case within ten (10) days after it has concluded.

As usual, every situation has exceptions.  Consult with a Charlottesville attorney to get the full details.
